What should I expect at a session?
What should we wear?
Do you have a client closet?
Do you travel?
Are you inclusive?
Your session will run anywhere between 20-90 minutes, ideally in the evening at sunset or early in the morning for sunrise. We want that beautiful golden glow that happens when the sun is nice and low.
I aim to capture genuine connections between yourself and loved ones. This means no forced smiles at the camera. Generally, I will ask you to get nice and close to each other then ask you a question or give you a little (fun or totally weird) task to get you to relax and interact among yourselves.
At the time of booking you will receive a copy of my very detailed Style Guide with plenty of tips and suggestions.
A few suggestions I make are:
Firstly, your images need to reflect who you are. You want to look back in the years to come and see yourself. Secondly, think about where your shoot is taking place, make sure your outfit is practical and comfortable. Or, if you want something incredible and completely impractical, like a dress with a long train, I suggest you wear a second outfit until we get to the spot we're capturing you in all your amazing glory.
I suggest having someone wear a pattern in your colour scheme of choice (earthy tones like, olive, creams and browns look amazing!). From here I recommend using the colours in that pattern to choose the rest of the colour coordinating outfits.
I have found the most striking and timeless images are those of people are dressed in clothing with no writing or big pictures and are not wearing identical outfits.
